Ender, Kellar Elected to Council
Congratulations to Laurie Ender and Bob Kellar, who were the top vote-getters in the Santa Clarita City Council election on April 8. Ender took 24.5 percent of the votes cast, while Kellar got 24.3 percent. Following close behind were Bob Spierer with 20.2 percent and Diane Trautman with 19.7 percent. Maria Gutzeit finished a distant fifth with 11.1 percent.

First Thursday. First Thursday.
Easy enough to remember, right? We meet the first Thursday of the month, barring conflicting holidays or other events. Our next meeting is scheduled 6:30 p.m. Thursday, May 1 at Mission View School, 20655 Soledad Canyon Road, Unit 12 (at Ruether Avenue). We hope to see you there!

Search On for New Headquarters
As you may know, we shut down SCV Republican Headquarters on San Fernando Road in June 2007. The headquarters helped give us a strong physical presence in the community, especially downtown Newhall, for several years. Rest assured, we certainly have not abandoned the idea of operating such a facility, and the search for a new headquarters is under way now. We'll keep you posted!
